Father’s Day: where we celebrate the amazing fathers who took us fishing, taught us how to bike and held us on their shoulders during parades so we could see everything. How do you possibly thank a man like that? Power tools! We’ve compiled a list of some of our essentials-that Dad will love!
Every dad needs a saw; whether it’s cutting wood for the deck or something a little more intense, saws are a must have.
Our first pick is a miter saw. We’re a big fan of the Ryobi 10” sliding miter saw for more practical projects such as cutting crown molding and baseboards to framing doorways. This gift does double duty; it’s a great gift for dad and it allows him to get work done around the house!
It’s no surprise that our next saw is the jigsaw. For all our amateur dads out there, this is a great tool for those somewhat tricky projects. The DeWalt DCS331B 20-volt Max jigsaw allows for precision cutting and is great for projects that require circular cuts. Dad might start a few DIY projects after getting this, so watch out!
Circular saws are for dad’s big projects. While we suggest a table saw over circular saws, the circular saw is perfect for tight spaces. The Skil 13 Amp circular saw allows for long, precise cuts. Cutting wood for your deck? Grab your circular saw and get to work.
Now that dad’s cut his lumber and is ready to begin a project, he’ll need a high-quality sander. No, we’re not talking about the tiny handheld sanders that require bodybuilder arms to be effective. We’ve got you covered with an electric sander!
DeWalt’s Variable Speed Random Orbit Sander is one of the best. The variable speeds allow for a smooth finish, regardless. Best of all? It requires very little arm strength. Dad will love this.
We all know everyone thinks “drill” when they hear “power tools,” so of course a drill would make it on our list. Because sometimes it can be hard to find an outlet in the garage, we’ve chosen a cordless drill. They’re convenient and they get the job done without that annoying cord.
The Makita XPH012 cordless drill is portable and offers a quick 10-minute charge. Not to mention that the drill comes with a 1⁄2” hammer driver-drill and offers some serious power. Despite being incredibly powerful, the Makita drill still allows dad to have complete control while working on his projects.
Dad does a lot for us, so let’s show him some love with some amazing power tools! Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads out there doing what you do!
